Leave Tad Lo without rushing

Keep the morning flexible, confirm the road and weather conditions, and leave enough daylight for the plateau.

Cross the coffee highlands

Continue toward the Paksong side of the Bolaven Plateau, with time for coffee and viewpoints rather than treating the road as a transfer.

Tad Fane and Tad Yuang

Visit the two major waterfall sites as one coherent stage. They are close enough to combine, but each deserves real time.

Finish in Pakse or continue the loop

Choose your final drop-off before leaving Tad Lo so transport, luggage and arrival time are planned together.

Tad Fane

Twin falls dropping into a forest gorge

The Champi and Pak Koot rivers plunge side by side from the plateau for about 120 metres. The site is mainly experienced from viewpoints above the gorge and also offers a zipline.

  • Leave time for the viewpoint and waterfall mist.
  • Check current opening times, fees and activities on arrival.

Tad Yuang · Tad Gneuang

A waterfall seen from several levels

Tad Yuang drops for about 42 metres. Viewpoints reveal it from the top, middle and bottom, with a picnic area and a small local market near the entrance.

  • Steps can be steep and slippery, especially after rain.
  • Take care around currents and gorge edges.
