Doctor, pharmacy and emergencies

Tad Lo has two private clinics and one public dispensary. Try the clinics first; their opening hours depend on the doctors' availability. The dispensary has a 24-hour presence but limited treatment capacity.

  • The nearest pharmacy is at the main-road junction near the bridge. Serious urgent cases should go first to Salavan Public Hospital, about 34 km away; Pakse is about 84 km away and offers a public hospital and private clinics.
  • For advanced specialist care such as stroke, major cardiac care or complex surgery, Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand may be considered after immediate stabilisation in Laos.
